Hello there.... I thin I shall call u cameleon... you certainly keep changing dont you my friend looooooool You keep focussed, and your eye fixed on the one who loves you!!!!!!!!!!
The Hero Within Us All The true heroes in the world are those who have taken the challenge to help others, like the cancer survivor who counsels others living with the dreaded disease. The person who survives a violent crime and decides to dedicate their lives to helping other victim’s of crime. The big sister or big brother. The dedicated school teachers who put in long hours before, during and after school to help shape young minds, and the list goes on and on. If these people are the true heroes in our society why then can’t all of us be heroes?
Those who stand up and take the challenge to help others are admired and held in high esteem because they are examples of true courage to overcome obstacles. Much of the time, most of us look to protect ourselves from obstacles so we don’t have to overcome them. We begin, almost from birth, learning how to build a personal fortress. A burglar-proof alarm system that keeps us in our comfort zone. What we discover is the personal fortress we create only gives us a false sense of security. This false sense of security becomes evident in every aspect of our lives.
But there are alternatives to the attempts of shielding ourselves behind some flimsy fortress. Christ makes possible a different kind of fortress. A fortress of true courage and strength. A courage that won’t weaken in times of chaos and confusion. A courage I’ve once witness in a women battling breast cancer. A courage that is contagious. A courage only Christ can give! Someone once said “Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others”. Such Christian courage is not to be measured simply by what we do but also by where and when we do it.
There’s real freedom to be found in submitting to Christ who already knows how desperately we need his strength. The cross, and only the cross, holds the power to prevail over everything life can throw our way. Then we too can be true heroes in the world.
